Selecting Your Baby Car Seat / Stroller Can Be Daunting
There are a few baby items we splurged on and this UPPAbaby Stroller and Car Seat Combo (Amazon) is definitely one of them.
Our car seat and stroller were two things I wanted to make sure were of the highest quality. In my opinion, UPPAbaby offers the best of the best in strollers and car seats. If you want the Porsche of baby strollers, then look to UPPABaby but also prepare to pay Porsche prices.
I really like that I can detach the baby car seat and attach it to my stroller and it's all made by the same company. You can even buy a wooden stand and use the bassinet or car seat at home. We did this for a short period of time rather than buy a separate bassinet: UPPAbaby Bassinet Stand, Grey (Amazon)
The bundle includes VISTA V2 stroller (Bassinet and Regular Stroller Seat for when baby gets bigger) and 1 MESA Infant Car seat. This VISTA V2 model boasts a softer ride with a “new, spring-action all-wheel suspension.” The turning radius is amazing and I have noticed a very smooth ride even over bumpier surfaces. (I believe you can buy additional parts and push up to three babies at a time!) It comes with a plastic cover to protect the baby from the rain and a net cover to protect against heat and I guess bugs.
The best aspects of the UPPABaby product line are the following:

The only negatives I can point to so far is how much the car seat weighs and the cost. If I read it correctly, the car seat weighs 25 lbs plus you need to consider the weight of the baby. But I guess I would rather have it be heavy and have all the safety features as opposed to it being lighter and not as safe.
We have the complete set: stroller, bassinet stroller option, car seat and the wooden stand for home use -- and we have no regrets!
