In my opinion, the high reviews on Amazon and other sites are well deserved. The product itself is made with high quality materials. The wood frame is made of solid, smooth wood. I find this refreshing in a world of mostly plastic toys. I have put the mat in the washer and dryer many times on delicate cycle and it washes really well - without shrinking.
