100 Days Baby Party Step 1: Dream Theme

100 Days Baby Dream Theme

American families have modernized 100 Days Baby Parties (Koreans call it "Baek-il") and now, the look and feel of them are as diverse and creative as your other kid birthday parties. You can really do anything you want in terms of party theme and color scheme.

The event is such a great photo op so you should pick a theme that will look fantastic in photos that you'll cherish forever!

For our party, I stuck with an Asian theme and used Chinese astrology as a guide. Our baby was born in 2020 -- the year of the rat. I figured heck, if Disney can make a rodent look cute, maybe I can too!

Check out these reference books on Chinese animal years:

Then I proceeded to "Pinteresting" pictures of other 100 Day parties for ideas and that's when I discovered that even in the "world wide" web of information, there just wasn't that much content about 100 Days Baby parties. Undeterred, that's when my life as a DIY crafter began. I will just create my own party decorations!

I made some initial, bigger investments to create my own party decorations but I figured that in the long run of hosting many more birthday parties and Christmases, etc. in my child's future, I will more than pay for these items. Plus, it fed my soul to be creative and work on craft projects - something I hadn't done since my youth. The following is what I bought on Amazon and what I recommend for you if you have a creative side and want to personalize items not only for parties but for room decor, gifts, clothes, houseware, etc.:

There are plenty of youtube videos showing you how to use this di-cut machine and the software that goes with it. This picture of the personalized year of the rat stickers were made using the Cricut - so yes, you can even make your own stickers! As you can see, I personalized them and printed "Siena's 100 days."

Children in our lives remind us that through imagination, anything is possible. Dream up a 100 Days Baby party theme that will not only put a smile on your baby's face but also spread joy to your guests and yourself!
